Hayley Guinness

Hayley Guinness is a dedicated Yoga Teacher, Clinical Nurse Consultant, and Therapist based in Nelson, Tasman, New Zealand. With over 18 years of experience in the mental health field, Hayley specializes in supporting individuals with mental health concerns, complex trauma, eating disorders, and body image issues. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient and day programs, community environments, and now private practice.

Since 2014, Hayley has been teaching hatha, restorative, and yin yoga classes in both clinical and community spaces. Her mission is to help people incorporate yoga principles into their daily lives, promoting mindfulness, intention, and self-compassion. Known for her down-to-earth, calm, compassionate, and nurturing demeanor, Hayley creates a safe space for individuals to explore and overcome personal challenges, allowing them to connect with their authentic selves.

Outside of her professional life, Hayley enjoys immersing herself in nature through hiking, swimming, surfing, and gardening. She is a wife and mother, finding joy in spending time with her family. Hayley also loves singing, dancing, and embracing her playful nature, believing that laughter is the best medicine. An avid reader and lifelong learner, she constantly seeks new knowledge and personal growth. Her mindfulness practice and love for nature are symbolized in her Stepping Stones Therapy and Yoga logo, inspired by her habit of creating rock stacks during her nature walks.
